Keratin treatment Do’s & Dont’s

Dont’s during the first 48-72 hours following treatment 

Do NOT wash your hair

Do NOT tie your hair in a pony tail or use bobby pins
Do NOT use headbands or sunglasses to keep your hair back Do NOT sweat or exercise
Do NOT pull your hair behind your ears
Do NOT tease your hair

Do’s during the first 48-72 hours following treatment 

Do wear your hair down all the time

Do use a blowdryer or flatiron as needed (in case hair gets damp) 

Do wear a silk scarf if you need to pull your hair away from your face

After 48-72 hours following treatment
ONLY shampoo & condition with salon approved aftercare products

NEVER shampoo with HOT water (use tepid or warm)
NEVER color your hair at home (box dye/ temp color, etc)

If your hair is not colored at Vintage Beauty Salon verify that your colorist never pulls

permanent color, bleach, or ammonia based developers through your hair

Keratin treatments are NOT relaxers. This will not permanently change the makeup of your hair. Keratin treatments are a de-frizzing & smoothing treatment designed to help with the manageability & styling of the hair.
